Differences between type of Hakama
Kendo Hakama:
Front himo`s length is 360 cm.
Koshi-ita board is made of rubber (soft).
Iaido Hakama:
Usually Kendo hakama is used for training.
In demonstration, the following details are popular.
Front Himo`s length is 360 cm.
Koshi-ita is made of plastic. (hard)
Back length of Hakama is one size longer than the front.
(For example, Size 24 Iai Hakama `s back side length is 25.)
And about Iai Hakama, shorter size is often chosen.
Because they wear the sword usually at lower position on waist.
Aikido Hakama:
Front Himo`s length is 400 cm.
Himo is reinforced by 4 lines of sawing stitches.
Koshi-ita is made of rubber (soft)
